Broken Hearts - 2000

The Temple Mount is closed to Christians and Jews.

In 1967 after the Six Day War, Moshe Dayan, Israel Defense Minister, in a gesture of peace and good will gave the Arab Waqf the keys to the Temple Mount. The agreement opened the Temple Mount to all and allowed the Waqf to administer the entire area including the el Aksa Mosque. Unfortunately, the Waqf has not upheld the agreement. In the year 2000 the Waqf illegally prohibited Jews and Christians from going up to the Temple Mount.

Frequently the Waqf permits, and often encourages, Arab visitors to the Temple Mount to throw rocks on visitors to the Western Wall. Furthermore, in violation of all international standards and human decency, more than 30,000 tons of ancient priceless archeological artifacts have been removed and discarded.

This destruction of artifacts of the First and Second Temples must cease. People of goodwill worldwide must stand up and demand a total cessation of all demoliton and construction on the Temple Mount.

Israel law requires open access for all peoples; Jews, Christians and Moslems to the Temple Mount. Threats and acts of violence cannot be tolerated. The Law must be enforced.

Open Access to the Temple Mount Now.
